Distance: in nm (nautical miles), 1 nm = 1,852 kilometers

Travel Time: at an average speed of 16 – 18 knots, 1 knot = n1,852 km/h

Consumption: The engines achieve the best results at 3.000 rpm, approx. 18 knots and consume approx. 35 – 40 lit diesel per hour. At a comfortable speed of approx. 7 kn the consumption decreases to 15 lit/h.

From Makarska to Korcula (town)

The island of Korcula is often referred to as “the green island”.

The city of Korcula itself and the port of Vela Luka, as well as the famous sandy beach of Lumbarda are well known.

Korcula found its way into world history as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Therefore there are many sights to admire in the old town of Korcula. The Roman architectural style contributes much to the typical atmosphere of this gem.

At the south-western tip of the island you will find the seaside resort of Lumbarda and then continue west to Vela Luka.

From Makarska to Vis

The island Vis with the city Vis of the same name is extremely popular with the Italians. 

The city was founded by the Hellenes around400 BC as amilitary base for Greek 

settlement. Until the time of Tito it served the military as a base and was therefore closed for tourism. This is why the island has retained much of its original charm. 

Viticulture has always been the main activity of the Vis people besides fishing, as the fishing grounds around Vis are among the most productive in the middle Adriatic. 

Since the island is located in front of the others, the temperatures here are usually somewhat higher than on the mainland.
